Chalobah Expected to Step in for Guehi in Three Lions National Team
The Chelsea star emulated his brother Nathaniel in representing England, emerging as the 21st duo of brothers to earn caps for the national team.
Trevoh Chalobah is likely to link up with the Three Lions selection to cover for unavailable Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old footballer is set to join the squad for England's final World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania, although it has not yet been officially announced.
The England team have already secured qualification for the upcoming World Cup.
Chalobah received his initial call-up under England manager Thomas Tuchel in May and then earned his first cap against the Senegalese team.
In September, Tuchel said Chalobah was unlucky to be left out from the selection for qualifying games against Serbia and Andorra, and also did not select him for the following October fixtures.
Tuchel has been an important influence in Chalobah's career, having given him his Chelsea first-team bow in the year 2021.
Chalobah has played in nearly all games for Chelsea this season, with the team occupying third spot in the Premier League, in the EFL Cup quarter-finals and in the group stage of the European competition.
Guehi suffered a injury to his foot in Crystal Palace's Conference League victory over AZ Alkmaar recently.
There are expected to be further inclusions to the team. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has announced that both winger Anthony Gordon (hip) and shot-stopper Nick Pope (concussion symptoms) will be unavailable from the national team.
