The loved ones of young people missing after a tragic fire at a bar in a Switzerland's ski resort are facing an painful period of uncertainty for confirmed information and appealing for any details about their loved ones publicly.
The fire devastated the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of the first day of the year. Circulated footage reveal the ceiling being engulfed in flames as bottles with sparklers are held aloft.
Officials have warned that it could take considerable time to formally name the those who perished of the fire, which claimed the lives of four dozen individuals and injured another over a hundred. A spokesperson noted on the latest update that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts continuing to name the other six.

Giovanni Tamburi, sixteen, is also unaccounted for. His mother told reporters that he had been on vacation but had gone out with friends and found himself at the venue.
"Someone with him informed me they ran away after the fire started and that he had his phone with him, but then at a specific moment he lost sight of him," she explained, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.
One of his teachers said, "I remember his good nature and positive demeanor, coupled with great responsibility. He would frequently offer to help out."
Alice Kallergis, who holds both Greek and Swiss citizenship but lives permanently in the country, was also at the bar on New Year's Eve, according to sources.
Her sibling has posted an urgent request on social media, saying the family has had "no updates" regarding the 15-year-old or the group she was with, who are also reported missing.
